I
Want Jesus to Walk with Me -
Alison Chase Radcliffe and Allen Holmes (8:41)
Alison Radcliffe has been singing all of her life.
She says, "Music is the embodiment of truth and
spirituals are the embodiment of music." In this
spiritual, also called a 'sorrow song', its words
best describe its meaning: "All along my pilgrim
journey, in my trials, when the shades of life are
falling, in my sorrows, when my heart within is aching,
walk with me." Alison sings and plays piano on
her arrangement of this song. Allen plays harmonica
and bass. For more information, check out http://allen.holmes.free.fr.

LYRICS:
I WANT JESUS TO WALK WITH ME
I
want Jesus to walk with me
I want Jesus to walk with me
All along my pilgrim journey
I want Jesus to walk with me
In
my trial, Lord, walk with me
In my trials, Lord, walk with me
When the shades of life are falling
Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me
In
my sorrow, Lord walk with me
In my sorrows, Lord walk with me
When my heart is aching
Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me
In
my troubles, Lord walk with me
In my troubles, Lord walk with me
When my life becomes a burden,
Lord, I want Jesus to walk with me
